iPhone back glass replacement

From the iPhone 8 onwards the back is glass bonded to the frame, and on newer models it's bonded hard.

Take it off the wrong way and you crack the camera lenses, warp the frame, or kill wireless charging.

We use a laser to break the adhesive cleanly. That's why the new panel sits flush and the phone still charges on a pad afterwards.

Why it costs what it costs

It's harder than the front

People are often surprised that the back can cost as much as the front. The reason is that the front comes off in one piece by design — it's meant to be serviced. The back isn't. It's glued to the chassis, sitting directly over the wireless charging coil, and it has to be broken out deliberately and cleanly.

That's the whole job, and it's why the tooling matters. A cheap back-glass repair usually shows up later as a warped frame or wireless charging that's stopped working.

Two good questions

Before you decide

Is it worth doing before I sell or trade in?

Often, yes. Cracked rear glass knocks more off a trade-in than the repair costs on a lot of models. Ask us and we'll do the arithmetic with you rather than just selling you a repair.

Does the camera glass come with it?

Depends on the model — on some the lens covers are separate parts. We check yours and include them in the quote instead of surprising you afterwards.
