Will Face ID still work afterwards?
Yes. Face ID hardware is paired to your specific phone, so we move your original module onto the new screen. If a shop tells you a screen swap kills Face ID, what they mean is they broke it.
Why do some places quote so much less?
Panel quality, almost always. There's a big gap between a premium soft-OLED and the cheapest aftermarket glass, and you'll see it in sunlight and feel it in the touch response.
My screen works but the glass is cracked. Can I leave it?
For a bit. Cracks spread, and once glass fragments work into the frame you're looking at a bigger job. Sooner is cheaper.
