PS5 and DualSense USB-C repair

Two different jobs, same connector. The front USB-C on the console, and the charging port on a DualSense — both wear out, and both are soldered on.

A controller that only charges at one angle isn't a controller you throw away. It's a small job on the bench, and a lot cheaper than a new pad.

Which one is it?

Two jobs we do a lot of

DualSense won't charge

The commonest one by far. The port wears from cable strain until it only takes a charge at an angle, then not at all. We fit a new connector and you keep the pad you're used to.

Console front port dead

The USB-C on the front of the console does nothing — no charge, no data. Same fix, different board, and worth doing before the loose connector causes trouble.

The questions we get

Isn't it cheaper to just buy a controller?

No — and it's not close. Have a look at what a DualSense costs now and then call us.

Mine charges but disconnects while I'm playing.

Could be the port, could be the battery, could be the board. We'll test it and tell you which before you commit to anything.

Do you do PS4 controllers too?

Yes, micro-USB and all. Same job, usually a bit quicker.

Controller on its last legs?

Bring it in with the console or on its own — either is fine.
